It’s been awhile! One month actually! Cara and I have been super busy with holiday craft fairs but I thought I’d take the opportunity to talk about our signs and share some recent projects. The holidays are right around the corner and these make excellent gifts!

I’m a sucker for a great quote or song lyric and have collected these for years! I come across a ton of driftwood and old weathered wood from barns, farms, yard sales, the side of the road. You’ve seen these everywhere and I love the ones in the pages of magazines but I’m not a fan of overseas mass production. I went to work one day on a piece I found on the beach and loved what I created. Why not make more on authentic driftwood and barn wood? They’ve really taken off and I love the ideas that people come up with!

Here are some of our recent projects:
  • A realtor friend of mine gives her clients a sign with their new zip code on it. (see picture)
  • One of my best friend’s wanted a lyric from a country song- I painted this on an old door panel (bottom left)
  • Another friend had me do the date her friend got married (similar to zip code  07.17.11)
  • SNK stands for Sandy Neck Beach, someone bought this for her sister who spends the summers there (and the wood happens to be from this beach!
  • “LOVE IS BEAUTY FULL” hangs on a neighbor’s shed- this piece is super cool, I found this in an old barn

The possibilities are endless and they make great gifts! Email me if you’re interested. Guaranteed by Christmas and under $50.
